Recently, I photographed Claire, a former dancer with the Kansas State Classy Cats, who is now a professional cheerleader for The ROAR of the Jacksonville Jaguars. She graduated with an accounting degree in May 2015 and her first game with The ROAR will be against the Pittsburgh Steelers in EverBank Field on August 14, 2015.
For Claire’s portrait, we shot in the main tunnel at K-State’s Bramlage Coliseum in front of its huge, rolling steel door. It provided a cool, neutral backdrop against Claire’s uniform. I lit her with four White Lightning X1600 flash units: a key light with a large umbrella directly in front of her, two kickers with medium softboxes on either side of her, and a background light with a 10 degree grid on the door.
