to protect and serve

I photographed several police K-9 units during the national conference of the North American Police Work Dog Association in Olathe, Kansas on June 6, 2013. The police dog teams demonstrated their skills detecting narcotics and explosives, as well as simulating police patrol scenarios and tactical techniques. The NAPWDA has been training K-9 units since 1977.

The event was hosted by the Olathe Police Department at the College Boulevard Activity Center.
