Recently, I was driving through central Kansas. The moon was in its waning gibbous phase and it seemed unusually huge in the sky that night. Maybe it was because it’s been overcast for weeks, or maybe it was because central Kansas is flat and spacious. I decided to shoot a photo of the moon but I couldn’t find anything along the highway to use as scale for the shot. I settled on the McDonald’s Golden Arches, which is probably the most famous logo on earth.
